Browse the barn
Our bookshop lives in the barn at the back of the property — a quiet, characterful space to wander the shelves and lose an afternoon to a good find. It's self-checkout: take your time, pick your books, and check yourself out whenever you're ready.
The shop is seasonal, so hours shift with the time of year. During the season you'll find us open most of the week, morning into the evening.

A whole village of books
Hobart, New York is known as the Book Village of the Catskills — a tiny town with a remarkable collection of independent bookshops, more per capita than just about anywhere. Our bookshop is proud to be one of them.
Spend a day strolling Main Street and you'll find shop after shop of rare finds, classic tales, and hidden gems — each with its own character and curators. It's what gives our Inn its name, and our village its soul.
